Trip to Moose Jaw

On August 31st, 2005, we will organize an optional trip to Moose Jaw - the city with a famous mineral spa, underground tunnels, and the Western Development Museum. Details will depend on a number of interested participants.

Departure place and time of bus to Moose Jaw:

The bus will.will depart from the main entrance to the Kinesiology Building at 13:00.

Football Game

After the conference, participants are encouraged to attend a Canadian Football League (CFL) game between the hometown Saskatchewan Rough Riders and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This is one of the major events in Regina each year. Come out and cheer on the Rough Riders!

Saskatchewan's Centennial

On September 4, 2005, there are several great celebrations for Saskatchewan's Centennial. Saskatchewan's 100th Anniversary will be held in Regina, and there are provincial fireworks displays, re-enactments and celebrations to mark our 100th birthday! Pelly Celebrates Saskatchewan Centennial 2005 will be held in Pelly, and it is Annual Heritage Guild Family Fun Day, complete with hot dogs and birthday cake. Western Development Museum Centennial Celebrations and Winning the Prairie Gamble Exhibits Preview will be held in Saskatoon. Come join the Western Development Museum to celebrate Saskatchewan's Centennial. There are entertainment and activities all day as well as a preview of the new centennial commemorative exhibits.
